The fine fraction which has been separated in the primary screening is conveyed to an air classifier. This classifier separates the lighter fraction e.g. the organic fibre from the heavier denser fraction such as the glass, grit and small metal objects. |

The organic fraction which is some 60% to 65% of the material treated is conveyed to the Fibre Storage Area for export. The heavier residual fraction is conveyed to a residue treatment area for further processing. |
