Autoclave Discharging

To discharge the processed waste the pressure in the autoclave has to be released and reduced to atmospheric pressure thus allowing for safe opening of the door.

Once the interior of the autoclave is at atmospheric pressure the rotation is stopped and the door mechanism engages.

Following opening of the door the autoclave is rotated to discharge the material onto the discharge conveyor.

The material that is discharged is now sterile having been subjected to high temperature steam.
