The waste that is fed into the feed hopper is transported by means of a plate conveyor from the reception hall into the waste processing hall.
This plate conveyor feeds the waste onto a series of belt conveyors; the material on these belt conveyors is monitored by height barriers and weighing systems.

These systems are utilised to capture any unacceptable waste that has been missed by the operator loading the waste.
These conveyors feed the waste into an intermediate storage hopper which allows for the transition of the waste from a continuous feed into a batch process.
This intermediate storage hopper utilises plate drag-out conveyors to extract the waste from the hopper, transferring it onto high speed telescopic conveyors which extend into the mouth of the autoclave to ensure minimum spillage of waste during feeding and maximum loading capabilities.
The telescopic conveyor retracts to allow closing of the autoclave door.
