Water from the condenser is passed through a filter as part of the water treatment system, this filter is in line to remove suspended matter that may have been carried over with the steam on venting of the autoclave.

The feed water is corrected for its pH, alkalinity and oxygen levels.

Feed water will be stored in a hot well prior to being pumped to the boiler.
