Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) or waste that can be assimilated as MSW is deposited via refuse collection vehicles into a reception hall.
This waste is stored in a reception hall, this hall is split into two operational areas which allows for waste to be treated on a first in first out basis by using one area on day one and the second area on day two. The floor being left clean and free of waste each day.
The waste is moved, stacked and loaded into a feed hopper by means of a front loading shovel.
Unacceptable waste such as washing machines, gas bottles, scaffolding planks, carpets etc are to be removed as far as practicable.
